The Theodora House program offers both residential and non-residential services to women in transition from prison and jail to the community. Within the 112-bed residential component, clients are required to comply with their individual program goals, which may include employment, education, mental health/addiction treatment and life skills development. Non-residential services such as aftercare and outpatient treatment are also available. The center utilizes a strength-based, client- centered, and family-focused intervention strategy for each woman. Staff focus on the special needs of women, giving specific attention to designing programs and services that are gender responsive. Theodora House offers a family reunification program entitled Healing Families that focuses on family, trauma recovery and aftercare. The facility is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and the American Correctional Association (ACA). Evidence-based practices include motivational interviewing and Marilyn Van Dieten's "Moving On" curriculum
