The USGS National Training Center in Denver, Colorado, offers nine technology enabled classrooms and conference rooms for use by Federal, State, and local government groups. Learning support services for group events in any NTC room are available at $30 per participant, per day for up to 12 participants (no fee for additional participants). Learning support services are provided for meetings at no charge if the meeting is reserved less than 60 calendar days in advance. - All NTC rooms have wireless network connectivity.
- All NTC computer classrooms feature SchoolVue® software.
- SchoolVue® classroom software allows the instructor to broadcast to all student computers simultaneously. This is especially useful for presentation charts or graphics with small type sizes. With SchoolVue®, instructors can take control of all student computers at the touch of a button and return control just as easily.
Live Video Streaming/Virtual Classroom (Earth)

This technology allows remote participants to attend a live NTC class from their local office computer. Streaming provides much the same experience for students as sitting in the actual classroom. Remote students can see and hear the instructor, view presentation slides, and ask the instructor questions using a "chat" screen. When registering for your next NTC class, look for the designation, "Class Available Via Video Streaming."

Affectionately known as the "recharge zone," this room offers a refrigerator, filtered water, two microwaves, snack and soda vending, and a Keurig® hot beverage dispenser. Have a seat at the coffee shop style tables and catch up on TV News or the Science Channel. Four "communication stations" with laptops, telephones, and printer allow you to stay in touch. |
