Fleet Liaison 

Operational Forces Medical Liaison Services (OFMLS)
"Service to the Fleet"

 

The OFMLS was established to provide direct communication between the Naval Medical Center and the Operational Forces. In this role, we communicate information and requirements from Operational Forces to appropriate personnel within the Naval Medical Center via the Commander when appropriate.


Services Provided:

  • Assist in scheduling appointments for operational commands within their deployment schedule.
  • Track all active duty personnel admitted to civilian hospitals and keep parent commands informed of the member’s status. 
  • Conduct visits to the Fleet to provide information about the services that OFMLS can provide while underway.
  • Provide updated information on patients MEDEVAC’d to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.
  • Provide morning reports on admission and disposition status of fleet personnel admitted to the facility.
