High School Football Showcase

The Oscar Smith Tigers (VA) and the Venice Indians (FL) will play in the Old Spice High School Football Showcase on Friday, August 28, 2009, at Beard, Delong, Easley Stadium at Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake.

Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are $10 and are on sale now at Oscar Smith High School, or can be purchased at the box office.

4th Annual "Wine for the Arts"

Chesapeake Friends of the Arts will be hosting their annual wine tasting fundraiser on Sunday, September 6, from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. at Chesapeake City Park,
900 Greenbrier Pkwy.

The event is held in conjunction with the 15th annual Symphony Under the Stars, a free performance by the Virginia Symphony Orchestra.

The 25th Session of the Citizen's Police Academy starts on Monday, September 14, 2009, and is held every Monday night until December 7, 2009.
