In June, Lower 48 States production declined 0.18 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) or 0.2 percent. The Gulf of Mexico had the largest decrease at 0.29 Bcf/d or 6.8 percent, partially explained by shut-ins due to Tropical Storm Debby. Louisiana had the largest increase at 0.25 Bcf/d or 3.0 percent as new wells came on line and production resumed from some shut-in wells. Production in Other States also rose by 0.12 Bcf/d or 0.5 percent as operators reported new wells in several shale plays.
