The "French and Indian War: 1754-1763" is a complete teacher's education kit for 4th-6th grade teachers. The kit includes a 156 page teacher's guide, background information for teachers, student readings and numerous activities. It also includes 27 biography cards, a color wall map an three reproduction artifacts. The kit is available for $40.00 through the Fort Necessity bookstore.  Additional resources, including two free lessons are available on the Fort Necessity website.

Traveling the National Road

The 190 page teacher's guide "Traveling the National Road" includes background information for the teacher, student readings, and numerous activities. It also includes 14 biography cards on local people associated with the National Road and 14 corresponding occupation cards highlighting jobs along the National Road. The seven historic site cards provide information on features of the National Road you can still see and visit today.  One copy of this guide is available free to teachers.  E-mail the Education Specialist at Fort Necessity, or call 724-329-8124 to request a copy.
