"For the past 3 years, United States Forces Korea has gone through some major changes.  The challenge now before me is to build on this legacy and to continue the traditions of excellence to take our great Alliance to an even higher level. As part of my priorities, I plan to maintain emphasis on Quality of Life.  I have stated we will continue to work together to improve the facilities, housing, and opportunities for our service members and their families overall, and in particular as it applies to command sponsorship. These continued improvements will help to decrease stress for our service members and increase readiness.

As I become acquainted with the great strides taken with the Command Sponsorship Program, I will continue to work toward maximizing opportunities for families to join their service members in Korea.  I fundamentally believe Top Leaders must live by the "Golden Rule," which puts caring, respect, and fairness first.  In addition, one of my Top 10 rules to live by is "Maintain Transparency."  My goal for the Command Sponsorship Program is to apply these principles as we move forward with continued improvements to this vital program, ultimately maintaining readiness with a program that is fair and transparent for all families."
