Zachary Levine is a physicist with interests in the interaction of radiation and matter. Projects have included the calculation of linear and higher dielectric functions, x-ray tomography at the micro scale and for medicine, and electron tomography. He was a member of the Council of the American Physical Society. Presently, he is a member of a committee of the Radiological Society of North America called COPDgene whose intention is creating standards for tomographic measurements of lung disease. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society. He received Bronze Medal from the Department of Commerce, and is a co-recipient of the Silver Medal as well as the Safety Award.
