Amanda Scott

Amanda Scott joined the Energy Department in April 2012 as a Senior Digitial Communications Strategist. She is currently the Managing Editor for Energy.gov. 

Before working at Energy, Amanda was the first New Media Coordinator for the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) in the Executive Office of the President. Amanda developed and built an entire digital program, focusing on transparency and public engagement through online tools. She came to USTR from the Obama-Biden Transition Team. In 2008, Amanda managed the national blog and 25 constituent blogs as Political Editor for the Obama for America presidential campaign. 

Amanda claims both Arizona and Ohio as home, having split equal amounts of her lifetime in both places. She is a diehard college football fan, and particularly enjoys the Ohio State Buckeyes. If it's not the fall season, Amanda can be found planning her next travel adventure, cooking and/or baking, and exploring Washington, DC.
