Welcome!
The BLM Campbell Creek Science Center is an outdoor science education center for people of all ages that encourages interest and participation in the balanced management of natural resources.
The BLM Campbell Creek Science Center provides educational opportunities for adults, children, and families as well as meeting space for various groups. The Center offers students of all ages the chance to learn in the outdoor classroom. Visitors have access to creeks, forests, meadows, and a rich abundance of plants and wildlife. Our programs promote awareness, understanding, stewardship, and an appreciation for the natural environment.
The Campbell Creek Science Center is located in the heart of Anchorage on the BLM Campbell Tract. We have something for everyone. So plan a visit and discover the wonder in your own backyard!

The bears are up! Please use caution while recreating in the outdoors and practice "bear aware" techniques: travel in groups, make noise, carry bear spray. And leave your headphones at home!
For more information, explore the "Living with Bears" Web page by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
Stacey Shriner (center), an intern at the Science Center through the Student Conservation Association (SCA), won an SCA Conservation Leadership Award! Each year the SCA gives these awards to only a select handful of interns who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to conservation. Stacey's commitment, enthusiasm, and dedication to service earned her the award. Here she holds her award in front of the Science Center sign with Jeff Brune, Science Center manager (left), and Don Hunger, SCA Alaska Regional Director.
