Overview of SAVAN

SAVAN is a product of Appriss, Inc. Appriss, located in Louisville, Kentucky, pioneered victim notification systems nationally with their victim information and notification everyday (VINE®) system and was hired as the contractor to develop the SAVAN network for North Carolina. The system provides up to date custody status and Court Case information for any offender behind bars in the Department of Corrections and a majority of the state’s county jails located in North Carolina. SAVAN also includes the ability to register for notification on any changes to an offender's custody status or updates on case information regarding that offender.
