Assistant Education Secretary to Highlight the Importance of International Education

Eduardo Ochoa, U.S. assistant secretary of postsecondary education, will discuss how educators and administrators throughout the world can collaborate with colleges and universities to enhance their students’ global engagement at 2012 International Conference on Cultural Diplomacy and the United Nations. Ochoa will speak at the Embassy of Bulgaria at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 24.

The event is one of a three-part series of international conferences held by the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy that focuses in part on international higher education. The aim of the conference this year is to reflect on the role of the United Nations within the international system, on global governance as a whole, and on how cultural diplomacy takes place.
