Deputy Assistant Secretary to Discuss Need for Improved Technology to Better Serve Those with Disabilities

Sue Swenson, deputy assistant secretary for Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, will lead a panel discussion at the Coleman Institute National Conference on Cognitive Disability and Technology in Challenging Economic Environments, "State of the States, State of the Nation: 2011,” on Thursday, Oct. 13. Swenson will discuss the need for better, evolving management data as well as research on cloud computing. She will also discuss the American Jobs Act and how it may be expected to impact Americans with disabilities.

The panel discussion, “The State of the Nation in Disability,” will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Westin Westminster Hotel in Westminster, Colo., and will also include officials from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
