Yuqin Zong
Yuqin Zong is an electronics engineer at the Sensor Science Division, Physical Measurement Laboratory, NIST in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He is responsible for the realization of NIST photometry scales and providing calibration services to the industry. His research fields include photometry, colorimetry, spectroradiometry, and optical remote sensing. Recently, his research has focused on the fields of stray-light correction for array spectrometers and imaging instruments, and the measurement of high-power LEDs and solid-state lighting (SSL) products. Yuqin Zong is the chairman of technical committee TC2-63 of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) for the Optical Measurement of High-Power LEDs. He is an editorial board member of the journal, Advances in OptoElectronics, and an active member of the Council for the Optical Radiation Measurements (CORM), the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), the Optical Society of America (OSA), and the Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE). Yuqin Zong is a 2008 recipient of the Department of Commerce Bronze Medal Award for Superior Federal Service for innovation in visible light measurement and standards in support of the conventional and burgeoning solid-state lighting industries.
