Webcast: Town Hall on College Education

REPLAY THE VIDEO: U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro hosted a Town Hall at Cafe College on March 8 about the importance of college.

The room was full, but Duncan and Castro asked NOWCastSA to webcast the Town Hall live, allowing hundreds of people to watch and participate in the discussion about President Obama's educational agenda, college affordability and how to raise Hispanic enrollment and college completion rates.

The webcast began at about 5 p.m., during the Kiva "warm-up" session, when people were encouraged to speak up with questions. The Town Hall, moderated by Brenda Jimenez from Univision, will start shortly after 6 p.m. with opening remarks by Castro and Duncan.

Most of the evening was devoted to questions from the audience, including people online.
