DOE and EPA Honor Outstanding ENERGY STAR Partners

DOE and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on March 21st honored 85 businesses, groups, and government entities for outstanding commitment to the ENERGY STAR program. ENERGY STAR recognizes energy efficient products in more than 35 product categories for the home and workplace. The program also uses energy performance rating systems for new homes and commercial buildings; top performing buildings receive the ENERGY STAR. More than 9,000 organizations have partnered with ENERGY STAR and demonstrated their commitment to improving the energy efficiency of products, homes, and businesses. ENERGY STAR and its industry partners have helped consumers save over $14 billion on utility bills in the past year.

Seven ENERGY STAR award winners were recognized by DOE and EPA, including Bosch Home Applicances for Excellence in ENERGY STAR Promotion – Appliances. Sustained Excellence Awards went to GE Consumer & Industrial (Appliances and Lighting Manufacturer category); Gorell Enterprises, Inc. (Windows, Doors, and Skylights category); Osram Sylvania (Product Manufacturer category); and Whirlpool Corporation (Appliance Manufacturer category). Partners of the Year were Pella Corporation in the Window Manufacturer category and Precision Entry, Inc. in the Door Manufacturer category.
