Advancing Building Energy Codes
The Building Technologies Program (BTP) supports greater adoption of residential and commercial building energy codes through collaborative efforts with local governments and industry groups, and by providing key tools and assistance for code development, adoption, and implementation. Through advancing building codes, we aim to improve building energy efficiency by 50% by 2015, and to help states achieve 90% compliance with their energy codes by 2017.
