$1 Coin Events
Which Presidential $1 Coin has been released most recently? During the last quarter, it was the coin that bears the name and portrait of 17th president Andrew Johnson.
Officials from the United States Mint and the National Park Service held a special ceremony to mark the release of the Andrew Johnson Presidential $1 Coin. The Andrew Johnson National Historic Site was the site of the coin release event.
This coin is number 17 in the Presidential $1 Coin Program. Johnson was the first president after Abraham Lincoln, and had to decide how to handle reconstruction after the Civil War.

Can you take a hint? The newest game on the United States Mint H.I.P. Pocket Change™ Web site uses hints to introduce you to the 2011 quarters. The game is called "Quick on the Draw."
In this game, you get not only word hints, but parts of the coins' designs appear as if drawn on the screen. If you know the designs, you can easily guess which quarter is being drawn. If not...take a chance! You may learn something!

Quarters of the Quarter: Glacier National Park
Quarter number 7 in the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program honors Montana's Glacier National Park.
If you were expecting to see mountains of ice at this park, you would be right. You can find many glaciers in this mountainous northwestern park. But there are a lot more than glaciers in this park that make it worth a visit!
