The Clearinghouse on Abuse and Neglect of the Elderly (CANE), located at the University of Delaware Center for Drug and Health Studies, is the nation's largest computerized index of elder abuse literature. With approximately 8,000 entries, you can search the CANE database for references pertaining to many aspects of elder abuse and neglect, and the conditions that impact elder mistreatment. The CANE database includes citations and brief summaries of peer-reviewed journal articles, as well as books, agency reports, hearing transcripts, videos, memoranda of understanding (MOU), and online resources addressing the abuse and neglect, self-neglect, and financial exploitation of elders. The database is updated as we catalog new acquisitions.
