QUESTION: Ambassador, any opening statement?

AMBASSADOR BOSWORTH: No, just to say that I’m very pleased to be here, and I’m looking forward to my talks with the Korean government officials.

QUESTION: A few hours ago, North Korea issued another strong statement. It said that it is useless to have talks with the U.S. because of the Obama Administration’s hostile policy. What do you think about this?

AMBASSADOR BOSWORTH: Well, I’m not going to react to every statement coming out of North Korea. I’m here to have talks with the South Korean government. Okay? Thank you.

QUESTION: Do you think the Six-Party Talks can be resumed any time soon?

AMBASSADOR BOSWORTH: I’ll have more to say later.

QUESTION: Do you think you will have bilateral talks instead of Six-Party Talks?

AMBASSADOR BOSWORTH: I’ll comment on that later today.
