3 The Total and Lost Time case numbers are derived from claims submitted to OWCP with "case create" dates from October 1, 2005 through March 31, 2006 (less cases denied with an adjudication status of D2, D3, D4, or D5). [ back to table ]

4 The Total Case Rate (TCR) and Lost Time Case Rate (LTCR) are calculated separately by dividing the number of total/lost time cases by the number of employees. The resulting number is multiplied by 100, for a rate per 100 employees. [ back to table ]

5 The "projected" end-of-year rates are calculated by dividing the Quarter 2 Total and Lost Time case rates by two for the annual rates. [ back to table ]
