Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) Program
Overview
The Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) program strengthens sexual violence prevention efforts by supporting planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive primary prevention programs. The purpose of this program is to award formula grants to states and territories to be used for rape prevention and education strategies and programs conducted by rape crisis centers, state sexual assault coalitions, state departments of health, and other public and private nonprofit entities. CDC's Injury Center has funding available in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and six US territories (Guam, Federated States of Micronesia, Marianna Islands, Marshall Islands, Puerto Rico, and Virgin Islands).
If you have questions or would like more information about specific state activities, please contact the state coordinator identified in the profile.
