Cyberchase
Parents and teachers concerned about children falling behind in math can take heart that an online destination designed to improve kids' math and problem-solving skills is bigger and better than ever. WNET, producer of "Cyberchase," the Emmy Award-winning math series on PBS KIDS GO! for 8 to 11-year-olds, offers an extensive website with hundreds of math videos, games and hands-on activities to support STEM learning.
The online experience captures the fun and adventure of the series, while engaging children in math concepts across different types of media. The site features recommended content paths, with prompts designed to keep kids moving through math experiences across a single theme. With the FIND IT! page, users can browse through content organized by popular topics such as fractions, science and engineering and geometry.
The site, is a culmination of 9 years of research and development, demonstrates the power of "Cyberchase" to inspire kids with confidence and enthusiasm toward math. Including all 94 episodes of the animated series, the website takes its place as one of the largest math resources on the Web for kids. "Cyberchase" is the only mathematics project for school-aged kids that combines broadcast, Web, new media and educational outreach to impact millions nationwide.
"Cyberchase" spans across platforms with applications for smartphones and classroom interactive whiteboards. The traveling bilingual museum exhibit "Cyberchase: The Chase Is On!," continues to tour the country. "Cyberchase" partners with PBS stations, children's museums and science centers, and national community organizations who share a mission to improve STEM literacy.
