U ASK Washington, DC, is an all-in-one resource that guides college students in the District of Columbia in responding to sexual assault. For the first time, resources and information from all eight universities and 19 community organizations are available in one place to create the ultimate resource for students, their friends and families, and school staff. The U ASK website and smart phone application are being used to raise awareness about on-campus and off-campus resources, create discussion about sexual assault on campus, and augment the outreach and service efforts of campus and community service providers.

The website and phone applications provide many resources to students in crisis and their friends and family. U ASK gives users pertinent crisis contact information (phone and internet chat resources, as well as an option to call 911) and information on DC's Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program, including how to prepare for the exam and how to get to the hospital best suited for treatment of sexual assault survivors and collection of evidence should a survivor decide to report.

U ASK also provides many crisis and post-crisis resources for students at their specific school. These schools include American University, Catholic University, Gallaudet University, Georgetown University, The George Washington University, Howard University, and the University of the District of Columbia. On-campus resources listed for all schools include campus safety or police, confidential counseling, housing and academic accommodations, student code of conduct complaint advocacy, and student health center. Some schools may also have listed confidential advocates, Women’s Centers, and LGBTQ resources.

U ASK gives students and their friends and families many options and resources in the Washington, DC, community for victims and survivors of sexual assault. These off-campus resources include follow-up medical services, legal services, services for deaf and hard-of-hearing students, and services for ESL and international students.
