Earlier today, Acting Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Rose Gottemoeller led the U.S.-China Security Dialogue at the Department of State. Assistant Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu led the Chinese delegation.

Today’s meeting marked the fifth round of the U.S.-China Security Dialogue, the first round took place in 2003 and the last round in 2008. The two sides had constructive discussions on arms control, nonproliferation, disarmament, and other international security issues.
