Since 2001, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has showcased the nation's premier high school football talent. The level of play in these games has demanded the absolute highest levels of mental, emotional and physical strengths for those participating. The expansive and continually growing list of prominent alumni featured in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl's history stands as proof of this strength and the extraordinary level of competition. Some of the most notable All-American alumni include: 2007 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Adrian Peterson, Mark Sanchez, Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow, Andrew Luck, and Marcus Lattimore among many more.
Currently, there are more than 100 U.S. Army All-Americans playing in the NFL. During the 2011 NFL Draft, 28 U.S. Army All-Americans were selected, including five first round selections. An incredible total of 65 U.S. Army All-Americans have been selected in the past two NFL Drafts. More and more U.S. Army All-Americans enter the NFL each season as the Army All-American Bowl continues to produce some of the game’s brightest stars on its biggest stage.

High School: Bishop McDevitt High School (PA)
- McCoy was one of the best running backs in Pennsylvania high school football history. He was selected Associated Press Class 4A First-Team All-State as both a junior and senior. In his high school career, McCoy ran for 6,440 yards and 75 touchdowns.
College: University of Pittsburgh
- Playing only two years of college football – he spent one year at a prep school – McCoy set an NCAA record for most touchdowns in a player’s first two years with 35. McCoy made an immediate impact as a freshman, rushing for 1,328 yards and 14 touchdowns and earning unanimous Freshman All-American and Big East Rookie of the Year honors. In 2008, he pulled down Pitt’s MVP Award, was named the Big East Offensive Player of the Year and a Second-Team All-American.
NFL: Philadelphia Eagles, Selected in the 2009 NFL Draft, 2nd Round, 53rd Overall
- Despite splitting time with Brian Westbrook, McCoy managed to set the Eagles franchise rookie record for rushing yards with 637. He had the starting role to himself in 2010 and rewarded the Eagles with 1,080 rushing yards and an additional 592 yards receiving. McCoy’s 1,672 yards from scrimmage ranked fourth in the NFL.
