Fox River Watershed Project

Date Posted: August 30, 1999

Contaminants staff from the Rock Island Field Office are participating in a newly formed watershed project, the Fox River Ecosystem team. The Fox River runs from Southern Iowa down through the Northeast corner of Missouri before entering the Mississippi River. The mouth of the Fox River is part of the Mark Twain National Wildlife Refuge system. The contaminants team has assisted in biological surveys and provides technical support on water quality issues.
