Oregon - BLM Intermediate Scale Map Series

This 1:100,000 scale series covers the state (on 64 maps) and is published in a Surface Management edition and a Surface/Minerals Management edition. Both editions show color coded public and private ownership, roads, water features, points of interest and the township and range lines.

The Oregon Intermediate Scale Map Index - $4.00 each

The State of Oregon surface management responsibilities shows federal, state, and private lands, roads, water features, contours, place names, county and BLM district boundaries, township and range.

  • Scale: 1:500,000 (53 ½" X 43 ½") - $5.00 each
  • Scale: 1:1,000,000 (28" X 23") - $3.00 each
  • Add $3.00 for a mailing tube when ordering flat maps.

Washington - Intermediate Scale Map Series

This 1:100,000 scale series, published by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources covers all of Washington State. The maps feature state and federal lands and recreation sites, highways, roads and trails, water features, and geographic names. Campgrounds, picnic areas, boat launches, trail heads, and points of interest are marked with symbols. Township and range lines are drawn. The Washington Intermediate Scale Maps are $5.00 each.

Oregon BLM Recreation Map Index

These river recreation oriented maps identify BLM, USDA Forest Service, state and private ownership, locate public access, camping and picnicking sites, and denote river miles for use with commercially available river guides. Scale is 1:100,000

Washington

The Washington State Department of Natural Resources has published a State Forest topographic series which highlights recreational opportunities on the Washington State Forests and adjoining public lands. The maps are large scale (1" to the mile or larger) and show detailed land ownership, water features, roads, and trails. Contour lines are typically at 100' intervals. Designated use of the trail system is color coded. Recreational site locations are symbolized and further described in feature tables. The reverse sides typically contain a variety of climate, history, geology, habitat information and photos.

Ahtanum Multiple Use Area

Covers portions of the USDA Forest Service managed William O. Douglas and Goat Rocks Wilderness areas, part of the Wenatchee National Forest around Rimrock Lake, and the state managed Ahtanum multiple use area bordering the Yakima Indian Reservation. - $2.00 each

Capitol State Forest

Located just west of Olympia, includes the Lower Chehalis State Forest, the Harris Block, Scatter creek Wildlife Area, Millersylvania State Park, and Priest Point Park. - $2.00 each

Elbe/Tahoma State Forest

East of Tacoma, includes the western edges of the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest and the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. - $1.00 each

Tahuya State Forest

Along the Hood Canal in Mason County, includes state owned tidelands. -$2.00 each

Tiger Mountain State Forest

East of Seattle, includes Squak Mountain State Park and Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park. -$2.00 each

Yacolt Burn State Forest

Northeast of Washougal, includes Beacon Rock State Park on the Columbia River and the southwest portion of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. - $2.00 each

BLM District Recreational Guide Series

This series will eventually cover nearly the entire state. In addition to roads, water features, township and range, and ownership, this series highlights the recreational opportunities such as camping, picnicking, fishing, rockhounding, hiking, and scenic overlooks. Scale is ½" = 1 mile except where noted, or 1:100k.

Aerial Photography

The BLM has an extensive collection of color and black/white aerial photography used for resource planning and management. Prints are available for public purchase. At this time it is necessary to make a visit in person to see what is available and to order prints.
