Note: The 1968 and 1982 Merger Guidelines have been entirely superseded. The 1984 Merger Guidelines have also been superseded, except for Section 4, which is still in effect. The Horizontal Merger Guidelines issued April 2, 1992 and revised April 8, 1997 by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission are still in effect in their entirety. The superseded guidelines are provided here for historical reference only.
