Young Adult Volunteer Rate (ages 16-24): Between 2008 and 2010, the average national volunteer rate was 21.9% per year. During the same timeframe, average Young Adult volunteer rates for large cities ranged from 14.7% to 32.5%. Rankings are based on a three-year moving average. Jacksonville, FL; New Orleans, LA; and Raleigh, NC were not included in the Young Adults Volunteer Rate rankings due to sample size issues.
