E-Government Database

In September, 2002, Congress passed the E-Government Act. This legislation mandated the creation of a database and Web site that integrates information about federally funded Research and Development (R&D). The database contains data on research and engineering projects provided by DoD organizations. The data are updated in response to Data Calls initiated by Assistant Secretary of Defense (Research and Engineering ASD(R&E).

The E-Government collection serves as a collection point for data required by the Electronic Government (E-Gov) Act of 2002. Information in the library includes responsible and performing organizations and individuals, descriptive information, associated program elements and their funding.
