NIDDK Travel Awards for Residents and Fellows Attending the National Medical Association's (NMA) Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly

NIH/NMA Travel Awards Program

The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) in conjunction with the Office of Research on Women’s Health of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Medical Association (NMA) are pleased to announce opportunities for travel awards to residents and fellows to attend the NMA’s Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly.

The awards are intended for residents and fellows who are preparing for careers in research or academic medicine and especially those who are interested in research in disease areas that disproportionately impact the health of minorities and underserved communities.

Travel awardees (designated as NIH-NMA Fellows) receive complimentary registration, air travel ticket (economy), 5 days/4 nights hotel accommodations, and per diem for meals (minus the cost of meals during the NIH workshop).
