The Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment program is an intensive substance abuse treatment programs, six to nine months in duration, with group sessions 5-days a week, individual counseling, 12-step meetings, and life skills education classes.

Women in outpatient treatment are generally more stable than women in transitional and residential treatment. They are typically employed and have stable housing. There are day and evening outpatient services available in both English and Spanish.

There is a weekly Women’s Meeting on the premises; a 12 step mentoring/support group.
An education class, called the 130, covers various health and wellness topics such as harm reduction, HIV/AIDS, and mental health issues. The class is offered in partnership with the San Mateo County Mental Health department.

Who is helped?

Women who have been previously incarcerated in prison or jail, women with children, women with substance abuse issues, self committing women, family referred, Child Protective Services (CPS) referred.

Capacity: 8-10 women at any given time.
