The DWJS Women's Residential Program is a residential treatment program that incorporates a gender-responsive integrated model of treatment addressing substance abuse, mental health and physical health issues while incorporating supportive services and creating a safe, supportive treatment environment. Through a partnership with Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, DWJS implemented the first Contact Visit program for WRP participants designed to maintain and improve family connections. In addition to the Substance Abuse Treatment Team that provides treatment and supportive services, the DWJS Mental Health Team (3 psychologists, 1 LCSW and 9 PhD candidate externs) provides comprehensive mental health services that include: individual/group therapy, anger management, psychological assessment, crisis intervention, medication referrals and compliance, triage to emergency services, DCFS treatment plan compliance and linkages to community services.

Non-violent women with substance abuse and mental health issues, under the jurisdiction of the Cook County Sheriff. Capacity: Approximately 1,000 women served per year.
