Prisoner's Aid Association was founded in 1869 as a faith-based organization working in the prisons. For our entire history we have focused on assisting our clients to become productive citizens, and to exit the revolving door to prison. The Female Transitioning home is a 6 to 9 month program for formerly incarcerated women. Sixteen women are housed at any given time, and provided with case management. Direct services such as substance abuse treatment, medical assistance, education and employment opportunities are provided to the women. The program is short-term. Upon completion staff help women find permanent housing. The program assists women only, with no requirements necessary for entry. Additionally, expunge services are provided once a month.
Started in 1869

Who is helped?

Women seeking housing assistance in addition to direct services through case management. Capacity: 16 women served every 6-9 months.
