Northern Lights is a supportive home for women returning from prison. This downtown Burlington residence houses eleven women for up to one year. Residents are under the supervision of the Department of Corrections. The goal is for each woman to build a safe, healthy, and productive life in the community. Northern Lights is a collaborative program that includes the Howard Center, Vermont Works for Women, Mercy Connections Inc., Lund Family Center, and Burlington Housing Authority.

Who is helped?

Women who originated from the Chittenden County area who are returning to the community after being incarcerated. Capacity: Eleven beds (rotation)
