Project Reconnect prepares women for release and helps them overcome the barriers they encounter as they make their transition back into the community. Transitional courses are held in the prison.

After release, AIM steps in to help the women secure jobs and housing, provide essential supportive counseling, and hygiene items. At a minimum, participants receive follow-up for one year and receive aftercare services and support.

Started in 1987

Who is helped?

Women being released from prison and women on probation.

Capacity: nearly 200 women served per year
