The Birth Attendants are a non-profit organization working to restore health and justice into communities in western Washington State.

The Prison Doula Project provides pregnancy, labor, and post-partum doula services and popular education style childbirth education classes to women incarcerated in Washington State.

They offer two main services to women. Each week they facilitate a pregnancy and labor discussion group based off of the women's interests. When the women go into labor, the doulas provide continuous support.

Who is helped?

Women who are pregnant, a parent or suffer from post-partum depression.

Capacity: No limit to the number served at any given time.
