The Safer Foundation's philosophy of service is based on respect for the individual and tailoring services to best meet individual needs. The agency incorporates a cognitive approach to behavioral change so that individuals with a criminal record can better understand and incorporate positive attitudes and improved decision-making abilities into their daily lives. Safer Foundation’s primary focus is on finding gainful employment for its clients; its services also include assistance with transportation, emergency food and clothing, housing, substance abuse treatment, education and life skills.

Who is helped?

Formerly incarcerated women seeking to obtain employment, life skills, vocational training and mentoring services. Capacity: Up to 13,000 individuals served per year.
