Filing Deadlines
When is the last day to complete the FAFSA for the 2012-2013 Academic year?
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid must be received by the processor by June 30, 2013.
The recommended filing deadline for consideration for state tuition grant funding is March 1, 2012.
The 2012-2013 academic year covers:
- Fall 2012
- Winter 2013
- Spring 2013
- Summer 2013
The FAFSA must be filed once each academic year to be evaluated for federal and state aid.

When are the Scholarship deadlines?
Scholarships are limited to new undergraduate students prior to attendance. The suggested filing deadlines are:

Once an application is received it will be valid for the remainder of the academic year.

When will Financial Aid and Scholarships be applied to student tuition accounts?
If the student has been determined eligible to receive financial aid and/or a scholarships, payments will be applied after the drop/add period each semester. Payments are based on the credits for which you are enrolled. You must be enrolled at least half-time after the Drop/Add period for payment to be applied to your account. Disbursement dates are as follows:

Entrance and Exit Counseling for Student Loan Borrowers
Federal Direct Loans and Graduate PLUS loan borrowers at Walsh College are required to participate in loan counseling. Student loan borrowers who are obligated to attend will be notified. Loan counseling con be completed online at
www.studentloans.gov.
