The Information Assurance certificate will enhance previously obtained knowledge and prepare you to build and support information security for an organization. The certificate will prepare you to assist organizations with their security needs while instilling the knowledge to prepare you for the CISSP exam.
  • Available to individuals holding a bachelor's or master's degree.
  • The Information Assurance Certificate consists of 4 to 6 courses,  depending on the your prior education.

Gainful Employment Disclosure Statement
Occupations in which graduates typically find employment after completing the Information Assurance Certificate include Information Security Analysts.  Further information on occupations may be found at http://online.onetcenter.org/crosswalk/ and entering the SOC code of 15-1122.   The normal time frame for completing the certificate is 7 semesters if a student takes all foundation and required courses. The normal time frame for completing the certificate is 4 semesters if a student takes only required courses.   Of the 9 students enrolled in the certificate program during the 2010-11 academic year, 2 students completed the certificate in the normal time frame.  For students who had to complete all required and foundation courses, we estimate that tuition and fees would total $12,992 and that books and supplies would total $1,281. For students who had to complete all only required courses, we estimate that tuition and fees would total $7,424 and that books and supplies would total $732.  The median loan amount for students who completed this certificate program was $3,925.
