Master of Science in Taxation

Master of Science in Taxation

Our Master of Science in Taxation (MST) program is for tax professionals interested in gaining comprehensive and practical knowledge of tax law, tax accounting, tax research, as well as tax methodology and procedures. Our program is among the most respected in the nation for its preparation of tax professionals. Our tax library is among the finest in Michigan with a specialized collection that makes tax research as easy and as convenient as possible.

You may specialize in financial and estate planning, corporate tax, small business taxation or elect not to specialize at all. You can choose from more than 14 different electives. The MST curriculum is continually reviewed and revised to ensure our students are receiving relevant, updated information that creates marketable skills in a fast-paced business environment.

Opportunities for Career Advancement
Taxes are one of the certainties of life. As long as the government continues to collect taxes, there will be a need for tax professionals. Public accounting, consulting, financial institutions, law firms, and corporations recruit MST graduates. Attorneys and CPAs may find that the MST credential furthers their careers.

Master of Taxation Program Format
