Freedom of Information Act Requests
The Freedom Information Act (FOIA) generally gives you the right to access Federal Agency records if the records are not protected by exemptions (see Exemptions right).
There is a great deal of information readily available to you without an official FOIA request. One of the links on left side of this page may answer your question.
If you still have questions, try one of these resources:
- Use the Search box (above).
- Call our national Customer Service Center: 1-800-344-WILD (1-800-344-9453).
- Contact our office at (916) 414-6600. Or see our organization chart for direct extensions.
If you decide to send a FOIA request, see our FOIA FAQs page.
The request should go to the Pacific Region Office in Portland. See their address below. (This office covers California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Washington. For other regions, see our national home page for the url of the regional office.)
