Minority Serving Institutions (MSI) Intern Program

Program Overview

The MSI internship program provides students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic Serving Institutions, students attending a college or university with a high percentage of Asian American and Pacific Islanders, Tribal Colleges and Universities and Students with Disabilities the opportunity to participate in internship opportunities throughout the United States.

The MSI internship program includes students from a variety of educational backgrounds in several academic fields such as Air Traffic Control, Aviation Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering and Information Technology, etc..

Requirements

United States Citizenship

Minimum 3.0 cumulative Grade Point Average on a 4.0 grading scale

Compensation

A weekly stipend plus the cost of travel, orientations, workshops, field trips, mentoring and coaching.

Availability

Internships are available throughout the year:

Spring (January to May) 15 weeks
Summer (June to August) 10 weeks
Fall (August to December) 15 weeks

Benefits

Students are provided an opportunity to capitalize on their academic studies and gain meaningful work experience and developmental activities. Additionally, students gain professional knowledge, expertise, and practical experience to chart their own career paths and make informed career choices. Students may earn academic credit for their internship.

Duration: Full-Time
