Paper, Pulp, and Lumber (NAICS 321 and 322)

The lumber and wood products sector (NAICS 321) covers logging, sawing, planing, milling and the manufacture of such products as: wood containers, veneer, plywood, particle board, oriented strand board, structural members, engineered wood and preserved/treated wood.

The pulp and paper sector (NAICS 322) manufactures pulp (mostly from wood), and then use the pulp to manufacture a range of products including paper, paperboard, envelopes and corrugated containers. Both are part of the manufacturing sector (NAICS 31 -33).
