Visit the Sewee Visitor and Environmental Education Center and experience the unique heritage and natural history of the South Carolina Lowcountry. Jointly operated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Forest Service, the 9,000 square foot facility showcases the valuable ecosystems of the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge and Francis Marion National Forest.

A partnership between Cape Romain NWR, Francis Marion NF and the South Eastern Wildlife Environment Education (SEWEE) Association, the Center's mission is to provide information and interpretation of the refuge and forest and teach conservation education to youth.

The SEWEE Association is the Friends Group for the Cape Romain NWR and Francis Marion NF, supporting the research, biological, historical, educational and interpretive activities of the agencies.

The Center is located 1/4 mile north of the refuge office. Hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Phone (843) 928-3368.
