On December 9, 2008, Michael J. Astrue, Commissioner of Social Security, established the Occupational Information Development Advisory Panel (OIDAP) under the Federal Advisory Committee Act.
This discretionary panel will provide independent advice and recommendations to us on the creation of an occupational information system (OIS) for use in our disability programs and for our adjudicative needs. We require advice on the research design of the OIS, including the development and testing of a content model and taxonomy, work analysis instrumentation, sampling, and data collection and analysis.
Commissioner Astrue renewed the Charter for the OIDAP on
