Vote Tallies1983 Amendments |
The 1983 Social Security Amendments are a major milestone in the legislative history of the Social Security program. They might fairly be described as the last major Social Security legislation of the twentieth century. The 1983 Amendments grew out of a set of recommendations produced by a special Presidential Commission (informally known as the Greenspan Commission).
