    Two Adams County communities received new federal resources to update water infrastructure and improve health care. U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) awarded a grant to the Village of West Union to rehabilitate several major components of a water treatment service which will serve 42 households and two small businesses. The ARC also awarded a $250,000 grant for Adams County Regional Medical center in Seaman to purchase a new digital mammography system. The new system will improve treatment for approximately 2,100 patients each year.

    A Jefferson County community received new resources to update water infrastructure and improve service. U.S. Sen.     New federal resources have been awarded to the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport. U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport was awarded $780,000 through the 2012 Small Community Air Service Development Program (SCASDP). Administered by the U.S. Department of Transportation, SCASDP assists airports with insufficient passenger air service or unreasonably high airfare fees attract new service. The grant may be used to fund many projects including: new marketing and promotional strategies, studies to measure air service deficiencies, and revenue guarantees for up to three years.

    New federal resources have been awarded to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded a $17.6 million grant improve the taxiway at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
