Energy Security

These twin electrical transmission towers at sunset near Golden, Colorado, symbolize the electrical power grid of the United States. The grid is part of the national energy infrastructure whose reliability must be assured because energy is the engine that drives our economy. ORNL researchers are working on this and many other projects related to the nation’s energy security; the work is featured in this issue of the Review.
